Dear Diary,

I woke up, worried,
I don't know why.
It's supposed to be a great day,
I shouldn't cry.

But my heart is in pain,
I can't stop sobbing.
The air isn't enough,
I feel like dying.

I am preparing a cake,
made of love and tears.
I'm shivering for a gap
that I feel deep in here...

Tonight, we're having a party,
I'm organizing the room,
we're going to laugh and dance
under the full moon...

The music is on,
the gifts are there.
But I don't see him,
can't find him anywhere.

Where is he?
The king of the night?
Where did he go,
where did he fly?

Why the music isn't on?
Why is nobody laughing?
With their sad faces
as if they are mourning?

And suddenly I realized
how blind I was.
There wouldn't be any party
and my heart was closed.

Will I get used
to that gap in me?
Not seeing him,
tell me, dear Diary?

I closed the book
and looked around.
The Sun was rising,
there was no sound.

August 12th is now over
and still it's here.
I didn't sing for you,
so Happy birthday my dear... *
